About 10 of the 1930 AKL-26 were built, including 3 AKL-60 prototypes, and one as the AKL-26 Special in 1932 for twin-float modification. New price was US$3,500 or $4,500 as a floatplane. The AKL-26A of 1929 was fitted with an extra fuel tank, selling for US$3,550. About 40 were built, of which at least 1 was refitted with 80hp Genet engine. In 1934 a twin-float conversion was made as the Uppercu AKL-26A. The AKL-26B / AKL-85 / Model 85 Flyer of 1930 sold new for US$$3,700, $3,300 in 1931 or $4,700 as floatplane. At least 14 were built, of which some were converted to AKL-27, also produced in 1930.
