Under DINFIA (Direccion Nacional de Fabricaciones e Investigaciones Aeronauticas) name, design and construction of the IA 46 light aircraft began.

A quick install and jettisonable 88 ImpG / 400 lt belly tank for agricultural chemicals could be attached.
